MAZUS Web‑to‑Pack Platform Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 22, 2025

Key Points in Brief

MAZUS has been designing and manufacturing packaging since 2008, and has earned a reputation as a reliable supplier both in the Baltics and internationally. Our goal is to ensure that every client receives packaging that meets their expectations.

The MAZUS Web‑to‑Pack platform is more than just a digital tool — it’s backed by real people. Our experienced team stands behind every order, ready to understand your unique needs, offer personal advice, and help create the best possible packaging solution. You're not left on your own — you can count on professional support throughout the process.

We’ve provided a brief summary of the MAZUS Web‑to‑Pack platform terms below, so you can quickly understand our production and service model.

Custom Manufacturing

Each order is produced based on the client’s individual packaging design and layout. For this reason, cancellations after payment are only possible with MAZUS approval.

Technical Accuracy of the Design File

MAZUS verifies whether the packaging layout submitted by the client matches the ordered technical specifications (such as color mode and dimensions). However, the client is fully responsible for the content of the file — including graphic quality, spelling, grammar, and the lawful use of trademarks, images, fonts, and other elements. The client is also responsible for obtaining all necessary third-party permissions and complying with applicable advertising, copyright, and intellectual property laws.

Any claims or damages resulting from such violations are the sole responsibility of the client; MAZUS is not liable for them.

Color Variations

The colors shown in MAZUS 3D previews on screen are for reference only. They may appear differently depending on monitor calibration, lighting conditions, browser settings, and the RGB color model. In production, standardized CMYK and Pantone color systems are used along with various printing methods (offset, flexographic, screen, or digital printing). As a result, the final printed colors may differ from those seen on screen.

Such variations fall within the acceptable range of technological tolerance and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Production Timeline

The production timeline begins only after both of the following conditions are met:

  1. Full payment for the order is received by MAZUS (unless otherwise agreed in writing);
  2. The required final Layout File (for printed packaging) is submitted by the Client and confirmed by MAZUS.

If the submitted Layout File is late or requires corrections, the production timeline is automatically extended by the number of calendar days needed to receive and confirm the correct version.

If no printing is required, production begins after payment and order confirmation.

Standard Delivery

The standard delivery service includes a single shipment to one address. MAZUS arranges delivery of the goods as a one-time shipment to the client’s specified address.

Any requests for delivery to multiple addresses, in separate shipments, or at different times are considered non-standard and must be agreed upon in advance and paid for additionally. MAZUS reserves the right to refuse such deliveries if they were not clearly agreed to in writing beforehand.

If the delivery address is provided incorrectly, all additional transport and redelivery costs are the responsibility of the client.

Product Quality Claims

Claims related to product quality must be submitted within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, using the official MAZUS online form. Photos and product labeling tags must be attached. An initial response will be provided within 10 business days.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, MAZUS will reproduce the goods at its own expense, according to the same technical specifications, without charging the client any additional fees.

Communication Language

MAZUS platform content is available in multiple local languages. However, all customer service and support are provided in English.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms of Service (“Terms”), the following definitions apply:

1.1. Platform

The MAZUS-developed and operated online tool MAZUS Box Configurator (Web to Pack configurator), accessible at mazus.online, together with additional services provided via the website, including standard dieline generation, the option to purchase custom packaging designs, and the ability to order production samples.

1.2. Client

Any natural or legal person placing an Order through the Platform.

1.3. Order

A customized packaging order created and paid for by the Client through the Platform, or any other custom request, including the purchase of dielines or the production of packaging samples.

1.4. Layout File

A digital file submitted by the Client (e.g., PDF, AI, or similar) containing the artwork and technical data required for production.

1.5. Dieline

A two-dimensional technical drawing of a packaging layout or structure (e.g., PDF or CAD file) used for production, sample preparation, or visualization.

1.6. Custom Projects

Packaging dielines and structural solutions created by MAZUS that are not included in standard FEFCO or ECMA catalogues.

1.7. Terms

This document, which governs the conditions and procedures for using the MAZUS Platform, placing and fulfilling Orders, payments, production, delivery, intellectual property rights, data processing, and the responsibilities of both parties.

1.8. Business Days

All days except weekends and public holidays in the Republic of Lithuania.

1.9. Production Timeline

The number of calendar days required to produce the ordered goods, counted from the moment MAZUS confirms receipt of all required final files (including the Client’s layout file, if applicable). The timeline may be extended if the submitted files are delayed or require correction.

1.10. Standard Delivery

A one-time shipment of goods to a single address specified by the Client. Any request for delivery to multiple addresses, in separate shipments, or at different times is considered a non-standard service and must be arranged and paid for separately.

1.11. Package Sample

A production-quality unit of the ordered packaging, manufactured to verify the material, structure, and printing prior to full production. Unless otherwise agreed, samples provided via the Platform are produced using digital printing as the default method. The sample is intended to represent the final packaging as closely as possible in appearance and function, using the same dieline and material type.

1.12. Package Prototype

A physical model of the packaging created for visual or structural evaluation purposes. Prototypes are produced for concept testing and may differ from the final product in materials, colors, or production method. Prototypes are not intended for final use or full technical validation.

2. Scope of Application and Contract Formation

2.1. These Terms apply to all users of the Platform and to all transactions between MAZUS UAB (VAT No. LT100003711615) and the Client.

2.2. A binding agreement is deemed to be concluded when the Client configures packaging through the Platform and pays for the Order (including sample orders or dieline purchases), and MAZUS confirms acceptance via the Platform or email.

2.3. MAZUS reserves the right to refuse to execute an Order if the Layout Files submitted by the Client violate laws, ethical standards, or technical requirements, or if the Client acts dishonestly.

3. Communication Language

3.1. Orders may be placed in local languages, and automated system messages (such as order confirmations or status updates) may also be delivered in the Client’s local language. However, all further communication — including consultations, support, clarifications, and any correspondence requiring human interaction — is conducted in English only.

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1. The prices displayed on the Platform include production, packaging of the goods, and Standard Delivery, unless stated otherwise.

4.2. VAT and Other Taxes

4.2.1. Sales within the Republic of Lithuania are subject to the applicable standard VAT rate (currently 21%).

4.2.2. Business clients (B2B) in other EU member states who provide a valid VAT number will be invoiced with 0% VAT, under the reverse charge mechanism, in accordance with Article138 of Directive2006/112/EC and Article49 of the Lithuanian VAT Law.

4.2.3. EU business clients (B2B) without a valid VAT number will be charged VAT at the standard Lithuanian rate (21%).

4.2.4. Private clients (B2C) located in other EU member states will be charged VAT according to the OSS (One‑Stop Shop) scheme, applying the standard VAT rate of their country of residence.

4.2.5. Orders shipped to non-EU countries are invoiced with 0% VAT. All import duties, taxes, and local charges are the responsibility of the Client and must be paid according to the import regulations of the destination country.

4.2.6. Any additional fees charged by financial institutions or payment service providers due to the Client’s selected payment method or country of origin are the responsibility of the Client.

4.3. Additional Services

Additional services — such as layout file corrections, expedited production timelines, or non-standard delivery options — are subject to separate pricing as quoted by MAZUS.

4.4. Delivery Terms and Incoterms

Unless otherwise agreed, goods are delivered under DAP (Delivered at Place) Incoterms, meaning MAZUS arranges and covers delivery to the Client’s specified address, excluding customs duties and import taxes.

Clients also have the option to organize their own pickup from MAZUS premises under EXW (Ex Works) Incoterms, but only if this arrangement is agreed in advance under a separate contract with MAZUS.

4.5. Client Export Obligations under EXW

If the Client arranges the pickup and export of goods from Lithuania, they are responsible for providing MAZUS with valid export documentation — including a signed CMR consignment note, proof of receipt, and any additional documents required to confirm export.

If these documents are not received by MAZUS within 30 calendar days of delivery, MAZUS reserves the right to reissue the invoice with the applicable 21% VAT, which must be paid by the Client within 10 calendar days of invoice receipt.

Note: MAZUS applies Incoterms® as defined by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). For definitions and responsibilities under each term, see iccwbo.org.

5. Order Modification and Cancellation

5.1. Since the goods are manufactured according to the Client’s individual specifications, the right to unilaterally withdraw from the contract does not apply, in accordance with Article14(4)(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights (eur-lex.europa.eu).

5.2. After payment, the Client may cancel or modify the Order only with prior written confirmation from MAZUS. In such cases, the Client shall compensate MAZUS for any production costs already incurred.

6. Layout File Quality and Corrections

6.1. For Orders placed through the Platform, the Client must submit print-ready Layout Files based strictly on dielines provided by the MAZUS Platform or a MAZUS structural designer. The use of third-party dielines is permitted only for packaging sample orders or for custom projects agreed outside the Platform, provided the dieline meets essential technical requirements. All Layout Files must comply with the specifications set out in the official MAZUS document File Preparation Guidelines.

6.2. MAZUS verifies that the Layout Files meet the technical specifications of the Client’s Order, including the correct use of the provided dieline and appropriate color mode (e.g., CMYK). MAZUS does not verify file format compatibility—only Layout Files submitted in accepted formats (e.g., PDF, AI) will be reviewed. Files submitted in unsupported formats will be rejected without further inspection.

  • (i) spelling, grammar, or typographic errors in the text;
  • (ii) the quality, arrangement, composition, or aesthetic aspects of the graphic design;
  • (iii) the legality or licensing of any third-party trademarks, illustrations, photographs, fonts, or other content used in the design.

The Client assumes full responsibility for the content of the Layout File and agrees to indemnify MAZUS and/or third parties for any damages or losses arising from violations of applicable laws, contracts, or intellectual property rights.

6.3. If the Layout Files do not meet MAZUS’ technical requirements and the Client is unable to make corrections independently, MAZUS may provide a quotation for layout correction services. If the Client accepts the offer and pays the applicable fee, MAZUS will prepare the corrected files for production.

6.4. Production Traceability. MAZUS reserves the right to include a small, discreet marking (such as an Order number or internal production code) in a non-visible area of the packaging (e.g., inner flap, bottom panel) for internal tracking and quality control purposes.

7. Color Management Policy

7.1. Indicative Colors on Screen

Colors displayed on computer monitors, mobile devices, and in the MAZUS 3D preview are indicative only. Their appearance is influenced by monitor calibration (e.g., sRGB, Display‑P3), ambient lighting conditions, browser color rendering, and the conversion from RGB to CMYK or Pantone color spaces.

MAZUS uses internationally recognized color standards or specified Pantone/spot color profiles for offset printing, ensuring high color accuracy in production. However, due to monitor variability, the final printed result may differ from the on-screen appearance of the Layout File.

7.2. Tolerance in Offset Printing

Color deviations of up to 5 ΔE₀₀ or a color intensity variation of ±5% are considered standard technological tolerances and do not constitute a production defect. If the Client requires strict color matching, they must provide a certified printed color reference (contract proof) and agree in advance with MAZUS on any additional color matching services and extended production timelines.

7.3. Tolerance in Digital Printing

Due to technological characteristics, digital printing allows for greater variability in color reproduction. Deviations of up to 6 ΔE₀₀ or a color intensity variation of ±7% are considered standard tolerance and are not treated as production defects.

7.4. Return Policy Related to Color

Orders will not be reprinted or refunded for color differences that fall within the tolerances defined in Clauses 7.2. and 7.3. If the Client believes that the color deviation exceeds the acceptable range, they must submit physical samples of the product together with the previously approved reference proof. If the deviation is confirmed to exceed the defined tolerance, MAZUS will reprint the Order at its own expense.

8. Production Timeline and Process

8.1. Start of Production

The production timeline begins once MAZUS receives a properly prepared Layout File that meets the required technical specifications and approves it for production. Approval means the file is final, production-ready, and requires no further corrections.

8.2. Layout File Corrections

If the Client submits the Layout File late, or if the file requires corrections due to non-compliance with technical specifications, the planned production timeline is automatically extended by the number of Business Days required to complete the file correction and approval process. MAZUS is not liable for any delays resulting from late or non-compliant submissions by the Client.

8.3. Interruptions in Production

Production may be paused if unexpected issues arise that could impact product quality or the final outcome — for example, if MAZUS identifies a significant error in the Client’s data or Layout File. In such cases, production is suspended and the Client is notified without delay. Work resumes only after both parties agree on how to proceed. The final production timeline may be extended accordingly.

8.4. Indicative Deadlines

If a specific production completion date is important to the Client, it must be clearly indicated when placing the Order. Otherwise, MAZUS will provide an indicative timeline, which may be adjusted based on Layout File preparation time and other factors such as seasonal load (e.g., the holiday season), material supply disruptions, or equipment issues.

9. Production Tolerances

9.1. The following are the standard tolerance limits applied to all cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging produced by MAZUS, unless otherwise agreed in separate technical documentation.

Parameter Tolerance Explanation
Cutting / Creasing Alignment – Cardboard ± 2 mm Deviation between the intended die-cut/creasing lines and the printed elements
Cutting / Creasing Alignment – Corrugated ± 3 mm Deviation between the intended die-cut/creasing lines and the printed elements
Flat Box Layout Dimensions ± 1 mm Measurement of the box layout before folding
Quantity Deviation

± 3% (for orders > 500 pcs),
± 5% (for orders ≤ 500 pcs)

Overproduction or underproduction during the print/manufacturing process
Print Registration Shift ± 0.3 mm between colors Overproduction or underproduction during the print/manufacturing process
Solid Board GSM Variation ± 2% from nominal value Applies to CMYK and Pantone layer alignment

10. Environmental Compliance of Packaging

10.1. Compliance with EU Directive 94/62/EC on Packaging and Packaging Waste

MAZUS ensures that all packaging produced complies with the provisions of Directive 94/62/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on packaging and packaging waste, as implemented in Lithuania. However, when the Client uses the MAZUS Box Configurator to independently design packaging and select materials (e.g., flute type, dimensions), the Client is responsible for making environmentally sound design choices that minimize material waste and facilitate recyclability. MAZUS is responsible for the correct implementation of those choices in the production process, using optimized manufacturing methods that meet applicable legal and technical requirements.

10.2. REACH and CLP Material Compliance

All printing inks, adhesives, and coatings used in production comply with the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH) and Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP). These substances do not contain any Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) above the regulatory thresholds.

10.3. Forest Certification (FSC®)

Paper and cardboard used in production can be sourced with FSC® Chain of Custody Certification if requested by the Client and explicitly selected during the Order process. A copy of the MAZUS certificate is published at mazus.online.

10.4. Food Contact and Hygiene

Packaging intended for direct or indirect contact with food is produced in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and the GMP Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006. The Client is responsible for informing MAZUS at the time of placing the Order if the packaging will be used for direct food contact.

If the Client fails to provide such information, MAZUS is not obligated to produce packaging suitable for food contact, and the packaging shall not be considered food-safe. In such cases, the Client assumes full responsibility for the use of the packaging.

If required, MAZUS may provide packaging that complies with food contact requirements, including certified materials and production processes, only upon explicit request and confirmation in writing.

10.5. Environmental Declarations

Upon written request from the Client, MAZUS may provide a Declaration of Compliance or relevant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for the materials used.

11. Delivery and Transport

11.1. Delivery terms

The delivery time and price are shown on the Platform during the Order process, before the Client completes payment. The total lead time consists of the Production Timeline (as defined in Section 1) and the delivery period. Unless otherwise stated, the price includes Standard Delivery.

11.2. Obligation to provide accurate information

When placing an Order, the Client undertakes to provide a correct and complete delivery address and contact phone number. If a re-delivery, address change, or other correction is required due to inaccurate information, the Client shall cover the additional transport costs.

11.3. Acceptance of goods

The Client must accept the goods personally or through an authorized person. If the goods are delivered to the address specified by the Client and accepted by a third party, the delivery is considered duly fulfilled.

11.4. Transfer of ownership

Ownership of the goods transfers to the Client at the moment they are handed over to the courier or other transport service provider, regardless of whether the Client is a consumer or a business entity. This provision follows the general principles of EU contract law, including Directive 2011/83/EU.

11.5. Single shipment to a single address

Products are delivered in a single shipment to one address specified by the Client. Any Client request for multi-stage delivery, multiple addresses, or specific delivery times is considered non-standard, must be pre-agreed in writing, and may be subject to additional charges. MAZUS reserves the right to decline such requests if not clearly agreed in advance.

11.6. Packaging and shipment protection

MAZUS packages the products according to international transport packaging guidelines and internal packing schemes depending on the product type (e.g., small cartons are packed into shipping boxes, flat corrugated blanks or glued packages are bundled and placed directly on pallets). Upon receipt, the Client must visually inspect the external packaging and mark any visible damage on the transport document, notifying MAZUS by email (with photos) within 48 hours of receipt. If no visible damages are recorded on the delivery documents, claims regarding transport-damaged goods may be rejected. Custom packaging (e.g., specific Client instructions) is possible only upon prior agreement and may incur additional charges.

11.7. Delivery delays

Order delivery times are provided based on the standard schedules of couriers or transport partners. While MAZUS strives to meet the indicated deadlines, it is not liable for delays caused by couriers, logistics providers, or customs procedures. In such cases, the Client may only be compensated for amounts actually recovered by MAZUS under the carrier’s terms. Indirect losses (e.g., lost profits or penalties from the Client’s customers) are not compensated.

11.8. Unloading conditions

If the Order requires pallet delivery, MAZUS undertakes to unload the goods at the Client's specified address. However, MAZUS is not obligated to carry or move the goods inside the Client's premises. Such internal handling services are considered additional unloading services and must be ordered and paid for separately, following agreement with a MAZUS representative.

12. Pickup of Goods

12.1. Pickup Option

Pickup of goods from the MAZUS warehouse is available only if explicitly agreed in advance under a separate written contract with MAZUS. This option must be confirmed at the time of placing the Order. The pickup location and conditions are specified in the Order Confirmation.

12.2. Readiness Notification

Once the goods are ready for pickup, MAZUS notifies the Client by email. The Production Timeline is considered complete upon this notification.

12.3. Pickup Deadline and Storage Fee

The Client must collect the goods within 10 (ten) Business Days of receiving the readiness notification. Failure to do so results in a storage fee of EUR 1.50/m² per calendar day (excluding VAT), starting on the 11th calendar day.

12.4. Transfer of Ownership

Ownership of the goods transfers to the Client upon physical pickup from the MAZUS warehouse. Until then, MAZUS retains full possession and responsibility.

12.5. Identification Required

At pickup, the Client (or authorized representative) must provide:

  • The Order number (3 letters + 5 digits), or
  • The issued pro forma invoice.

12.6. Authorized Pickup

Only the Client may collect the goods, unless a written authorization is provided in advance. If the Client is a legal entity, MAZUS may request formal proof of authorization (e.g., signed power of attorney or delegation letter).

12.7. Uncollected Goods

If the Client does not collect the goods within 6 (six) months after notification, MAZUS reserves the right to dispose of or recycle the goods at its own discretion and expense. The Client will be informed in advance.

12.8. Incoterms and VAT on Pickup

Pickup from the MAZUS warehouse is possible only under EXW (Ex Works) Incoterms and only if a separate written agreement is in place (see Section 4.4).

If the Client is a VAT-registered entity in another EU Member State and the pickup is authorized under such an agreement:

  • The Client is responsible for organizing cross-border transport and submitting valid proof of dispatch from Lithuania (e.g., signed CMR, transport declaration).
  • If this documentation is not received within 30 calendar days of pickup, MAZUS reserves the right to apply Lithuanian VAT (21%) to the Order in accordance with EU VAT regulations.

13. Quality Complaint Procedure

13.1. Upon receiving the production ordered via the Platform, the Client must inspect the goods without delay.

13.2. Claims regarding product quality or completeness must be submitted within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt, by filling out the electronic form available at mazus.online and attaching the following:

  • clear photographs of the product in question;
  • images or scans of the packaging labels showing the Order Number.

13.3. Claims submitted without MAZUS identification labels (Order Number) will not be processed.

13.4. An initial assessment of the claim is performed within 10 business days from the date the complaint and supporting materials are received.

13.5. If the defect is visible or significant, MAZUS may request the return of the defective goods for final evaluation. In such cases, the Client must properly repackage the products for return. MAZUS will cover the return shipping costs.

13.6. If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, MAZUS, at its sole discretion and based on the nature and severity of the issue, will:

  • remake the Order under the same conditions as the original;
  • or repair the defective goods if technically feasible and agreed by both parties;
  • or offer a partial discount on the original price as compensation.

The selected solution will be communicated in writing, and the Client’s confirmation may be required before further action is taken.

13.7. MAZUS’s liability is strictly limited to the value of the defective products and does not include compensation for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, delays in the Client’s business, or penalties imposed by third parties.

14. Intellectual Property

14.1. Client Content.

The Client confirms that they have all the rights necessary to use the trademarks, graphic elements, fonts, and other content contained in their Layout Files and assumes full responsibility for any possible infringements of third-party rights.

14.2. MAZUS Content.

All Custom Project Drawings created by MAZUS designers, as well as all texts, design elements, software code, and trademarks on the Platform, are the intellectual property of MAZUS. This content is protected under applicable EU and national copyright laws, including Directive 2001/29/EC on copyright in the information society and the EU Trademark Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2017/1001). The MAZUS trademark is a registered mark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

14.3. License Limitation.

When the Client purchases Custom Project Drawings, they receive a non-exclusive right to use them solely for their own packaging production. Any resale, rental, sublicensing, or other distribution without prior written consent from MAZUS is strictly prohibited. Any violations may result in liability under applicable EU and national legislation.

14.4. Marketing Use and Licensing Exceptions

14.4.1. Photos of the Client’s Packaging.

Unless the Client submits a written objection, MAZUS reserves the right to use photos of the Client’s ordered packaging on the Platform, on social media, at trade shows, or in other marketing materials as examples of technical capabilities. In doing so, MAZUS undertakes not to disclose any trade secrets, confidential pricing, or other proprietary Client information.

14.4.2. Client’s Right to Use MAZUS-Created Photos.

The Client is allowed to use photos of their ordered packaging created by MAZUS designers for their own marketing and communication purposes, unless a separate agreement states otherwise.

15. Confidentiality

15.1. MAZUS Confidentiality Obligation.

All information received by MAZUS from the Client in the course of fulfilling an Order (including layouts, technical data, commercial specifications, pricing, business plans, or marketing ideas) is considered confidential and shall be used solely for the performance of the Contract, except as provided in clause 14.4.1. MAZUS agrees not to disclose or transfer such information to third parties without the prior written consent of the Client, unless required by law or necessary for Contract performance by subcontractors (e.g., tools manufacturers or couriers), who are also bound by commercial confidentiality obligations.

15.2. Client Confidentiality Obligation.

The Client agrees not to disclose to third parties any individual price offers, production technology data, custom project drawings, or other MAZUS trade secrets obtained in the course of executing the Contract without prior written consent from MAZUS.

15.3. Exceptions.

These confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:

  • (a) was public or became public without breach of this Contract;
  • (b) was lawfully obtained from a third party without a breach of confidentiality;
  • (c) was independently developed without use of the confidential information.

15.4. Duration.

The confidentiality obligations remain in force throughout the term of the Contract and for five (5) years after its termination, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.

15.5. Enforcement.

In the event of a breach of confidentiality, the breaching party (MAZUS or the Client) shall be liable for direct damages, including lost profits and/or reputational harm.

16. Privacy and GDPR Compliance

16.1. The Client’s personal data is processed in accordance with applicable laws and the MAZUS Privacy Policy.

17. Data Security and Backups

17.1. Hosting and Infrastructure

The MAZUS Platform is hosted in data centers located within the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), all of which maintain ISO 27001 or equivalent information security certification. All Client and Order data is stored encrypted at rest (AES-256) and transmitted via TLS 1.2 / 1.3 (HTTPS).

17.2. Backups

Automatic backups of all data (including Orders, Layout Files, and Invoices) are created at least once every 24 hours. Backups are stored in a geographically separate location, also within the EU/EEA.

17.3. Recovery Procedure.

MAZUS aims to restore critical systems within a reasonable time following an incident. As a benchmark, MAZUS targets a Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of up to 24 hours and a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of up to 48 hours. Actual recovery times may vary depending on the incident. MAZUS will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore data from the most recent available backup.

17.4. Limitation of Liability for Data Loss.

In the unlikely event that data is irretrievably lost despite all reasonable efforts, MAZUS’ liability shall be limited to (a) system recovery work and (b) proportionate reimbursement for any undelivered services. Indirect damages, such as lost profits or reputational harm, are not subject to compensation.

17.5. Client Responsibility.

The Client is responsible for maintaining their own copies of Layout Files and Drawings. The Platform is not intended to serve as the sole long-term archive for design or production files.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

18.1. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

18.2. Business Clients (B2B)

The Parties shall first seek to resolve any disputes arising from or relating to the Contract through constructive negotiations, in the spirit of good faith and cooperation. Given MAZUS’s long-standing experience in packaging production and historically low complaint rates, the company commits to reasonably and proportionately assessing Client claims in order to uphold high standards of quality and reputation.

18.3. Jurisdiction

If no agreement is reached through negotiations or mediation, the dispute shall be finally resolved by the District Court of Kaunas, Lithuania.

18.4. Private Consumers (B2C)

If the Client qualifies as a consumer under applicable EU consumer protection laws, they may seek assistance in resolving disputes through their national consumer protection authority or the European Consumer Centre (ECC) Network. More information is available at: eccnet.eu

19. Force Majeure

19.1. Neither MAZUS nor the Client shall be held liable for failure to perform their obligations under the Contract due to force majeure—unforeseeable events beyond their control—as defined in Article 6.212 of the Civil Code of Lithuania, Article 79 of the CISG, and UNIDROIT Principle 7.1.7. Such events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, war, pandemics, or government restrictions.

20. Limitation of Liability

20.1. MAZUS’s liability for direct damages is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the specific part of the Order in dispute.

20.2. MAZUS shall not be liable for:

  • indirect losses (e.g., lost profits or reputational damage);
  • errors or defects resulting from incorrect Drawings or Layout Files submitted by the Client or from the Client’s own actions.

21. Severability

21.1. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall, as soon as possible, be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original economic and legal intent of MAZUS and the Client.

22. Final Provisions

22.1. MAZUS reserves the right to amend these Terms by publishing an updated version on the Platform. Amendments apply only to new Orders placed after the changes have been published.

22.2. These Terms were published and entered into force on July 22, 2025.
