LINAS Boxes – A Modern Interpretation of Classic Corrugated Cardboard Packaging
The use of natural brown corrugated cardboard for linen textile packaging has almost become a classic today. Perhaps even a little overused! We see this type of packaging very often on the market, so while developing this collection, the main goal was to find a way to preserve the feeling of naturalness while presenting the packaging differently – in a more modern and original way. The idea was to create an authentic solution that would look contemporary without requiring expensive materials or complicated production technologies.
A Strong Visual Accent Changes the Character of the Packaging
The main visual highlight of the packaging is the intricate perforated leaf pattern, which became the key design element of the entire collection. The leaf motif was created by the client, and its modern aesthetic perfectly reflects today’s renewed appreciation for natural linen and sustainability.
At first glance, the production of these boxes may seem very simple – just die-cutting natural brown corrugated cardboard. However, the delicate perforated pattern became one of the biggest technical challenges in production. The precise die-cutting details required exceptional accuracy and extensive production experience to prevent the delicate edges and gaps from being crushed, torn, or deformed.
Printing Transforms the Packaging
Even simple printing on a plain brown corrugated cardboard box can completely transform the packaging. A logo, subtle graphics, or even a simple inscription printed on a natural brown surface can turn an ordinary shipping box into a stylish “outfit” for a brand. Properly selected design completely changes how customers perceive both the packaging and the product itself.
In this project, minimalist graphics and the subtle leaf motif created a cleaner, lighter, and more modern visual identity while preserving the aesthetics of natural cardboard and the authenticity of Lithuanian linen.
Practicality Is Just as Important as Design
Practicality was also an important part of the collection design. A set of four box sizes was created – two pairs sharing the same length and width but differing in height. Interestingly, when viewed from the front, the boxes appear almost identical in size, even though their capacity differs significantly. This solution helped maintain a consistent visual identity across the collection while giving the linen textile manufacturer greater flexibility when packaging different products.
This project reminded us once again that natural brown corrugated cardboard can look modern and distinctive. Quite often, customer attention is won not by expensive technologies, but by a good idea and artistic design. If you are looking for unique packaging for your product, sometimes it is worth starting with a simple brown corrugated cardboard box. It can be surprisingly impressive…
