DESIGN AND ARTWORK GUIDELINES

At MAZUS, we want your packaging to look exactly as you imagined — or better. Whether you're uploading a ready-made design or need help preparing artwork, this guide will help you through the process.

1. Submitting Your Artwork

You have two options when submitting a design:

  • Upload a ready-to-print file via our configurator or during checkout.
  • Request professional design help from our team of packaging designers.

Accepted formats:

  • PDF (preferred)
  • AI, EPS, SVG (vector-based)
  • High-resolution PNG or JPG (for reference only)

Please outline all fonts and embed any linked images to avoid compatibility issues.

2. Downloading Dielines (Cutting Templates)

Once you choose a box model (e.g., FEFCO 0201, ECMA styles), you can download a cutting template (dieline) directly from the product page.

Use the dieline as a guide to place your artwork:

  • Safe zone: keep text and key elements here.
  • Bleed area: extend background colors or images here.
  • Cut lines & fold lines: do not modify these layers.

Need help adapting your design to our template? Contact us — we’re happy to assist.

3. Print-Ready Checklist

Before sending your artwork, make sure it meets our production standards:

  • Color mode: CMYK (not RGB)
  • Resolution: At least 300 DPI
  • Fonts: Outlined and embedded
  • Crop marks / registration marks: Not required
  • Safe zone: Keep all critical text and logos inside
  • Bleeds: Extend background colors or images at least 3 mm beyond the cut line on all sides. This ensures no white edges after cutting.

Tip: Use clear contrast between background and text, especially on kraft materials or darker boards.

4. Let’s Co-Create

Don’t have a design yet? No problem — our in-house creative team is here to help.

We offer:

  • Custom packaging artwork design
  • Brand asset adaptation (logos, typography, color palettes)
  • Visual mockups and structural previews (2D/3D)
  • Professional product photography in our studio — perfect for showcasing your product in its final packaging, or creating marketing visuals for your website and ads.

From concept to camera-ready presentation, we’ll make sure your packaging reflects your brand’s identity and speaks to your customers.
